![]() Both Model Switchers (Rectangular & Square)
The Switcher can be fitted inside a standard off-the-shelf steel electrical boxe which is in vogue today on which the press fit switches are mounted.

Switcher Panel This is a small Switching Circuit that should generally planned to be located behind each switch box in a room for a set of Lights or Fans. There are two variants :- (a) Switcher Circuit Square Model (6 cms). (b) Switcher Circut Rectangular Model (3 cms x 9 cms) If planning to locate the switcher behind each switch box, the rectangular Model is preferable. However, if planning to put these switchers together inside a Distribution Box, then the Square Model is recommended since they can be fixed on a DIN Rail. Connections The circuit boards have markings to enable two power inputs, one from the Solar Panel and the other from the AC 2 DC Driver. The positive and negative terminals are printed quite clearly while making the circuit itself . There is one OUT connector which take power to the devices. This 12V DC Output is called DiyaStar® Output Power. In addition two LEDs are connected to each of the circuit. When Solar Power is available the Red LED glows. The Green LED Indicates that backup Grid Power is available. These LED lights are to be fixed on a blank switch plate so the 'Power' status is visible to all.
Operating Principle. There are two relays. The solar power relay becomes active the moment the Solar Panel from the roof top is delivering power. The moment the roof top Solar Sensor Panel stops delivering power (cut off by the Sensor Panel), the relay gets into Normally Open mode which activates the AC to DC grid power line automatically. Options for Deployment The first and best option is to have each room have a Switcher Panel residing behind the switch box. This will enable greater flexibility to each room to switch off solar power if more power is being consumed in the whole installation..
However, it may also make sense to place all the switchers in a Distribution Box and provide DiyaStar Output Power to all the rooms. In this case, the Square Models come in useful since they may be mount on DIN Rails... |
